Sculpture

The best thing about fabricating botanic sculpture is that it requires getting really close up to the subject, studying it's various parts and how they relate to eachother. The less brilliant thing is that recreating something soft and alive in a hard medium like silver can be very challenging, but that's part of the fun!

All these peices are hand made from a starting point of scrap, wire or sheet recycled silver (occasionally copper), and shaped by hand using slow making methods.
